Chlorella - A Powerful Source of Nucleotides

Chlorella Provides Vital Nutrients Your Brain Cells Need to Maintain Memory

The brain has the highest concentration of RNA within the body. This nucleic acid is vital for memory and learning. Cells of the brain have a limited capacity to make nucleotides that are combined by cells to create RNA. To make matters worse, as we age, our overall ability to produce RNA declines.

Supplementing your diet with natural sources of nucleotides and nucleotides can provide the building blocks your body needs to maintain the health of your brain. In fact, research shows that it may even improve your memory. Aged mice had “significantly higher” memory retention when given these nutrients compared to the control group given a diet lacking in them. These results led researchers to believe that a diet deficient in nucleotides may be a factor in age-related memory loss. Chlorella is a particularly rich source. In concentrated extract form it “tops the list” in content.

In 1990, Critical Care Medicine published a study in which the researchers stated the "recent reports suggest dietary nucleotides are required to maintain normal immune responsiveness and that "supplementation with RNA and pyrimidine bases (nucleotides) appear to be critical."

Also the researchers cited two other studies in which arginine and fatty acids enhanced immune function. In conclusion, it was suggested that RNA, arginine and fatty acids are all required in combination to restore immune function in malnourished subjects.

Note : Three grams of chlorella (recommended daily serving) contains 109 mg of Arginine. In addition, according to Paul Pitchford in his book 'Healing with Whole Foods', Chlorella contains a greater quantity of fatty acids than either cyanobacterias: spirulina or blue-green algae.

"Chlorella is a wonderful food supplement and it will work best and most rapidly if combined with a correctly balanced and proportioned food regimen....We find that the average person does not get enough green vegetables in the diet and chlorella helps compensate for that.

The average person may not have proper bowel elimination and chlorella helps make up for that. The average woman does not have enough iron or calcium, especially after the age of forty, and chlorella is high in both. The average person does not repair and rebuild tissue fast enough, and chlorella helps speed it up. These are some of the reasons why chlorella has such a positive effect on health."

"Chlorella, Jewel of the Far East" by Dr Bernard Jensen, D.O., Ph.D.

"Chlorella contains all eight essential amino acids, the constituents of protein. Its amino acid content compares favourably with that of animal derived protein, except that it has a slightly lower amount of methionine.

It contains impressive amounts of vitamin C, beta-carotene (provitamin A), B1, B2, B6, B12, niacin, pantothenic acid, folic acid, biotin, choline, inositol, PABA, vitamin E and vitamin K.

Its mineral content includes phosphorus, potassium, magnesium, copper, zinc, iodine and cobalt. It is also a source of lipoic acid, an important microbial growth factor."

"Chlorella - Natural Medicinal Algae" by Dr David Steenblock, BS, M.Sc, DO

The minerals, vitamins, enzymes and amino acids that are contained in chlorella supply all that the human system needs for good health.

Mr Featherstone believes that all of these are much more easily assimilated from chlorella than by taking massive doses of minerals and vitamins - most of which pass through the digestive system. He is familiar with other forms of algae, all of which are good, but feels that chlorella is the best.
